First Trip to The Woodlands

Well, our townhouse is in "sale pending" status at the moment, and we couldn't be happier! I continue to cross my fingers daily, hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly from here on out. Thanks to a pending sale, we were able to house hunt in TX this past weekend. We found a BEAUTIFUL home!
 I love this door!

 Still waiting on appliances...
I am still pinching myself that this will most likely be our new home in a month!
For the first time I actually feel motivated to decorate!

I also have to make mention of the fact that it was so nice to leave the rainy, cold weather in PA for the sunny, 80 degree temps in TX! We spent a lot of time outside, exploring The Woodlands. It can be relatively hard to find your way around the city, as they have tucked most of the commercial buildings behind tons and tons of trees, and the signage is displayed lower to the ground, but I love it. We toured the downtown canal area by boat one night.

J.R.'s office is located in this building on the waterway!

By day, this is a splash pad for kids--very entertaining!!
Overall, I think I am going to like living in Texas again. I am a southerner at heart, and no matter how hot it gets there, and how much I will miss PA in August, I am meant to be in a warmer climate:).
Family and friends, please come visit us here--you will be welcomed with open arms!!!

I am back in PA now, and although I was enjoying the weather,I missed this guy like crazy!

On another note, I am still turning out baby hats left and right for whomever wants them:). I just mailed some to my sister for her friend's shower this weekend. I went a little overboard (again) and made six different hats. Since I don't know the mommy-to-be, I am hoping that one of the styles/color combos will appeal to her:).

I am really digging the yellow, gray color combination right now for some reason!
I finally figured out how to make a newsboy cap!

  1. Wow Jen! What a beautiful home!!!! Glad to know that if we can every afford to come visit you, there would be room for all of us and our chillens! By the way, I love your hats. I may have to take you up on one when the winter comes. Too cute!
