Beautiful Newborn Ella

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of taking some pictures for a coworker of a friend's husband here in Texas. What a beautiful girl this baby was! She had the fullest lips I have seen in person on a newborn! Miss Ella was around 16 days old when I took these, and I learned my lesson--try to schedule newborn pictures before two weeks of age. She was such a great baby, but after two weeks, newborns are definitely more alert and less likely to sleep through different poses and set ups! I have to say though, it was nice to get a glimpse into what J.R.'s and my life is going to be like in a few short months. Ella's mom was a first-timer as well, and she and her husband made the transition look like a breeze!

My attempt at the hand on both sides of cheeks turned into this pose instead. Don't worry, mom's hand was supporting her arms on the left-hand side and were cloned out. We tried other poses, but this was the most asleep we could get her:). I think her parents are going to have to watch out for the boys very early on ;)!

I bought this cute little outfit from a vendor on ETSY. I just think it is perfect for a spring newborn photoshoot!
