Findley Lake, NY Weekend

J.R. spent his last year of grad school in a house on Findley Lake. I visited him several times while he was there and we have lots of fun memories of this special place. Peggy, J.R.'s aunt's best friend and the owner of the house, allowed us to stay there last weekend for a few days. We treated Max to a walk around the 5 mile perimeter of the lake, met up with Peggy and J.R.'s Aunt Susan for a few meals by the water, and went to Erie to hang out with J.R.'s family, Mike and Marion. It was a great weekend!
We stopped by Presque Isle State Park on the way home.  We had brought Max here once before about a year ago on the very first day we met him. He is a little less scared of the water these days, but it was a struggle to convince him to swim out any further than where his paws could touch.  We are going to return in a few weeks when J.R.'s mom visits to see if we can spend a little more time getting him comfortable with swimming.  I sometimes question whether or not he really is a lab:).  Aren't they supposed to love this?

  2. Well you certainly don't look huge! We are excited to see pictures of your new little one soon! I bet she will be equally as cute as Katie! Oh and I am jealous of your scrapbooking abilities! I wish I could be that creative. I am considering delving into a digital scrapbooking hobby, but there is so much to learn! You take great pictures and scrapbook so you are ahead of me. You guys should definitely come see the East sometime and visit us!!
