J.R. and I held our first garage sale last Saturday, and it was an experience. The morning started with two ladies racing each other down our street to arrive 30 minutes before we were scheduled to start. These were the professionals! We met a lot of people and sold a lot of our things over the course of three hours. When it was all said and done, we counted a $209 profit. Although it was surprisingly nice standing outside talking with everyone, I am still not convinced it was worth the work that went into everything beforehand. After the sale, we took the leftovers to Goodwill. It was a nice feeling to donate, but also to come home to much more space in our basement! I told J.R. to hold up our earnings for a quick picture, and this is what he came up with:
I was thinking more along these lines, but whatever:). Haha, I love my hubby:). He makes life so much more fun!
On the way to Goodwill we passed the volunteer fire department. What a beautiful way to remember the day.
Finally, what would a weekend be without some entertainment courtesy of the other crazy boy in my life:)
I want to come and live with you! You have so much fun. LOL, FAS
ReplyDeleteChris and I have yet to conquer a garage sale. When we do have one I'm sure it will be an experience. Nothing beats an extra $200 bucks though!
